​​​Gottfried BULLERT

​(1808-1885)

son of Christian BULLER (1773-1846)

grandson of Daniel BULLER (1726-1803)


At age 48, Gottfried and his family obtained permission from the German Government to emigrate to America from their homeland in the village of

Vandsburg, Kreis Flatow, West Prussia, 

(now Wiecbork, Poland)

departing from the Port of Bremen, Germany,

on the ship "Meta", 

arriving at the Port of New York City, NY on

Sept. 29, 1856.

     wife Dorothea E. (Garz/Jahns) Bullert (age 45)

      Children:

           Carl L. Bullert (age 24)

           Wilhelmine Bullert (age 21)

           John A. Bullert (age 18)

           Fredrich Bullert (age 9)

           Daniel Bullert (age 7)

           Bertha E. Bullert (age 4)


The Schauer and Meihlke families traveled from Zempelburg together with the Bullert family, destined for Minnesota.  There were marriages between descendants from both families.  


By the 1860 U.S. census,

Gottfried BULLERT and his family had settled in Green Isle Township, Sibley County, Minnesota where he farmed 160 acres

receiving a land patent in 1861 from

President Abraham Lincoln. 


David Wilhelm Erdmann BULLERT

​(1820-1887)

son of Erdmann BULLER (1770-1829)

grandson of Daniel BULLER (1726-1803)


At age 37, David and his family left their homeland in Zempelburg, Kreis Flatow, West Prussia, 

departing from Hamburg, Germany,

on the ship "Gulfstream", 

arriving in Quebec, Canada on

May 1, 1857.

          wife Rosa (maiden SEEHAWER) (age 33)

          daughter Pauline (age 4)

          daughter Augusta (age 1 1/2)

          son August (age 11)

          sister Justine (age 18)


By the 1870 U.S. census,

David BULLERT and his family had settled in Green Isle Township, Sibley County, Minnesota where he farmed 160 acres.

At age 44, Gottlieb and his family left their homeland

in Zempelburg, Kreis Flatow, West Prussia,

embarking on a long journey across the 

Atlantic Ocean, to a new destiny in America. 

 

The Bullerts departed Hamburg, Germany,

on the ship "North America", 

arriving in New York City, NY on

Dec. 11, 1853.
