Byron Jadon BULLERT
(1913-1983)
Byron Bullert worked in the Civilian Conservation Corps during the Great Depression. As a civil engineer, he received numerous awards for his work from the Corps of Engineers.
He retired from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers in 1968 after thirty years during which time he worked on the Hoover Dam and Grand Coulee Dam.
After he retired, he served as a consultant on the Salto Grande Dam in Uruguay and chief concrete engineer on Pakistan's Tarbela Dam, considered to be the world's largest earth and rock-filled man-made dam.
